WORKDISCRIPTION

My work refers to what archaeologists and anthropologists consider a clear  sign of an organized society : architectural space.

It  is human to shape specific spaces based  on personal desires , it is a universal  need. Architects are of bound hand   and foot by clients, patrons, restrictions, and functional requirements.

My spaces, however, are free from architectural conventions and are not designed for a fixed function.

I create them to evoke an extraordinary and entirely new spatial experience, but also an emotional and spatial one.

Using various media, such as drawings, wall drawings, photographs, and models, I realize concepts for architectural spaces

and objects. The German language has a fitting description for this art form: Raumskulptur.

As well from my drawings and other mediums, are based on memories and experiences of my life.

I follow my my intuition and try to free myself from rational thinking. I believe my work does not need a broad explanation. 

People are free to interpret it in their own way.

学歴:

1976〜1977年 アカデミー ミネルヴァ、フローニンゲン。

1979～1982年 レーワルデンのアカデミー フレデマン デ フリースに在籍。

1982～1984年 マーストリヒトのヤン ファン エイク ポスト アカデミーに在籍。

1984年 アムステルダム市立美術館。処刑壁の描画 ソル・ルウィット (指導者: デビッド・ヒギンボザム、渡辺ジョー、アンソニー・サンソッタ)

1984～2016 年 ヨーロッパおよび米国でマスターアシスタントのソル・ルウィット)

展示会：

1983　グループ展 ヤン・ファン・エイク・アカデミー、マーストリヒト

1984　ゲメエンテ博物館、ルールモント (トン・ヴ・ド・ラーケン・アン・パウル・クライネとグループ展

1985  アメルスフォールトのヘット博物館での個展・・を始めとして、ほぼ毎年世界各地で展覧会を開催している。
